Pinot Gris

Pinot Gris or Pinot Grigio? What is the difference? Actually, both are made from the same variety of grape and the only difference is the traditional origin--France vs. Italy! Our Virginia version is crisp and refreshing, made most like the French "Gris" being harvested later to allow flavor complexity to increase. Pinot is unique in that the skin of the grape is dark, but it produces white wine.
