Deadrise

The deadrise boat is perhaps the most characteristic and quintessential image of the coastal portion of Virginia, where the fertile soils of the Chesapeake Bay region produce unique and desirable flavors in our grapes. This dry, expertly crafted Bordeaux style blend boasts Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Semillon uniquely accented to perfection by a fruity nose from Traminette. A faint oak flavor results from transient storage of the vinifera grape components in the highest quality oak casks. Deadrise is deserving of its name, as it pairs impeccably with fish, oysters, crabs, and other seafood that are harvested daily from nearby waters aboard these unique watercrafts with a flat V-shaped hull.
