Cabernet Franc 2022

Cabernet Franc is one of the most widely planted grapes in the world and thrives exceptionally in our Virginia climate and soils. It is a parent grape of Cabernet Sauvignon as well as Merlot, and one of the classic Bordeaux varieties.

These small, black colored berries were ripened to perfection during an exceptionally favorable growing season before undergoing crushed skin contact fermentation. Subsequently this wine underwent malolactic fermentation before aging in the highest quality oak casks. While traditionally paired with red meats, many of the unique flavors of this wine are best highlighted by any dish with spicy or smoked flavors.
